The WGSS 50th Anniversary Reception
On behalf of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department, we cordially invite you to celebrate half a century of scholarship, activism, and feminist education with an exclusive reception during Alumni Weekend 2024.
For more than 50 years, the students, faculty, and staff of WGSS has offered an innovative curriculum that centers intersectional, interdisciplinary, transnational approaches to the study of women, gender, and sexuality, and offers extensive learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
All members of the campus community, and especially alumni, are welcome to join us for an evening of conversation, connection, activism and celebration over food, wine, music, and dancing. Tickets are $100 and include unlimited wine tastings and catered hor d’oeuvres. All proceeds from this event will support WGSS and its student-centered initiatives.
Seats are open to all current and former students, staff, faculty, and friends of WGSS. Tickets are available for purchase by organizations, departments, or other sponsors. If you cannot attend the event, there is still an opportunity for you to donate to the Department’s effort to support student tuition, travel, workshops and trainings, and collective research experiences.
