Mentored Undergraduate Summer Experience – Assist a professor with specialized research and earn a stipend
Student-Faculty Research Seminar – Interdisciplinary seminar with a theme, offered each spring semester. Student-faculty pairs work on a focused project related to the annual theme.
Phi Kappa Phi Research Award – Competitive award for students to work with faculty on research projects
Intersectional Qualitative Research Methods (WGS 326) – Students gain cutting-edge skills for in-depth, mixed-methods research applicable across disciplines.
Senior Capstone in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS 495) – Students apply feminist methods in extended research projects on a topic they choose.
Women’s Leadership and Social Change (WGS 496) – Students collaborate on researching social issues and creating activist projects.
Mentored Research – Students create research proposals and carry out research projects in collaboration with a faculty mentor for course credit. Complete the Independent Study or Mentored Research form.
Second Major Research – Students double-majoring in WGSS and another field may count research conducted in their other major toward their WGSS degree if the project focuses on gender and/or sexuality (for example, collaborating on a Psychology lab project).
Student Worker Research Assistance – Students with paid student worker positions in the department may have opportunities to assist faculty with their research work.
